It is so wonderful to find fellow travellers...all inclusive, all sacred, all holy.

I am thoroughly enjoying your writings. We can make no greater difference among our fellows than when we choose to be in that state."

The issue is that we freely choose to be in this state. It can't be coerced and you can't be born into it, you have to freely choose it.

I seem to write this same thing over and over again. God gave Mary a choice, Jesus went into the desert to make choices, Peter made some bad choices but was always reconciled. In one sense the New Testament is all about choice and reconcilliation and total conversion.

Those three issues are what our leadership should be about, the choice to align oneself with the will of God--which is always personal and the results always personal--reconcilliation when we miss the mark, and everything should be designed to support and lead us to a total conversion.

You can't lead anyone if you don't know the way. You can't substitute the illusion of security for the path of willfully chosen trust in the unfolding love of God.colkochhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03432916690101599393noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8383701632927065467.post-74273392115883670522009-04-19T07:39:00.000-06:002009-04-19T07:39:00.000-06:00Colleen,

From your writings, I think that you are indeed open to what the Spirit has available for you-and are actively seeking it out.

I think that God made us because he loves us (I think our immortal spirits are sparks off his own--our essentioal similar likeness), God wants us to learn, grow, and be creative, and he wants us to love each other and help each other whenever we can.

God loves all and each of us unconditionally. He created us. That Jesus died for ALL of us so that we might be reconciled is the clearest of all indicators.

God and all Heaven respects our free will (we were created that way). The greatest fulfillment of life here on Earth is when our own will is aligned with that of the Spirit of God. We can make no greater difference among our fellows than when we choose to be in that state.

The huge bureaucratic "overburden" of our Catholic organization is behaving a lot like most expanding organizations. It often seems to mainly be about maintaining itself and its influence rather than serving its own members. When that happens, the organization shrivels and loses influence. Our members driven by a deeply personal reationship with God tend to be disappointed by the heirarchy driven by tradition and seek real, meaningful, growing, faith filled fellowship elsewhere .

Keep on scaring yourself--faith and trust in what God has for you, and following that path must necessarily be quite exilarating.

Love to you, dear. Always let love guide you.

GabbyGabbynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8383701632927065467.post-77533477501564631742009-04-18T09:55:00.000-06:002009-04-18T09:55:00.000-06:00John, thanks, because you never know, someday the ...John, thanks, because you never know, someday the landing pad maybe open again and when it is, I'll appreciate it being tidy and organized.

I'm not actually sojourning freely on my own. I got dragged into it, kicking and screaming, and frankly somewhat terrified.

In that sense my trust isn't necessarily in humanity. It's more in our crossed over ancestors, our angelic realm and all the other spiritual entities who have a very vested interest in humanity succeeding in bringing the Kingdom of Heaven to earth. If we can manage to do that, the implications for the rest of the universe (in all it's dimensions) are huge. As I wrote, it's a staggering vision.

Peace bro Colleencolkochhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03432916690101599393noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8383701632927065467.post-32111169879320253382009-04-18T09:23:00.000-06:002009-04-18T09:23:00.000-06:00Very nice summary of the situation, Colleen, thank...Very nice summary of the situation, Colleen, thanks. I appreciate your view, even though I don't share your trust in humanity to sojourn freely without getting into trouble. Best wishes on your journey. I'll be down here trying to keep the Cape tidy and organized :)
Cheers,
JohnAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
