This Is What Fearless Christianity Looks Like--As Opposed To Fearfilled Catholicism

The above photo is of Fr. Geoff Farrow whose blog is linked on the side bar.  This photo was taken in front of the White House as part of a call for Barack Obama to follow through on his stated desire to end DADT.
I encourage my readers to follow this link to read Fr. Geoff's reasons for handcuffing himself to the White House fence.  This is prophecy in action. This is compassion and love in action.  This is what Catholicism needs more of.

  1. More courageous than any RC bishop! Finally, not a black suit locked in some Baltimore hotel room.

  2. Courageous. Well done, Geoff.f

Related to fear-filled Catholicism, is this where the pro-life crusaders want to take our country:

Probably not, but only because our anti-abortion bishops and politicians are even more extreme, not allowing any exceptions. What's really infuriating is that the country in that article, Thailand is one of the top places in the world for sex trafficking.

  3. Brian when I was reading the article you linked, I couldn't help but wonder about countries like Thailand and the Phillipines which have a thriving sex slave industry, illegal abortion but a huge rate none the less, and highly conservative and restrictive sexual cultures.

When you artificially restrain a normal human biological expression it will foster the perversion of the experience, just as when a culture flips the other way it fosters a huge conservative back lash. I keep wondering how long it's going to take mankind to understand sex is not just about the biology, it's about relationship.
